9. player. 42. . Wide Receiver. SMU. Courtland Sutton

The San Francisco 49ers may have saved their franchise this season, as they swung a trade with the New England Patriots prior to the trade deadline. That trade was for quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, who would go on to win every game he started in 2017. He is currently a free agent, but you can be sure that the team is going to make a full-court press to lock him up long term this offseason.

Once Garoppolo is locked up, the team has  to switch their focus to putting some elite weapons around him. During the 2018 NFL Draft, there are some big-time wide receiver prospects, and Courtland Sutton is certainly one of them. Sutton has been a star for SMU throughout his collegiate career, but since he plays for a school that does not get much publicity, he may have flew under the radar of most college football fans.

At the next level, Sutton is going to be a guy who can contribute to a team immediately. He has the body you look for in an elite wideout, as he is able to go over the middle and make catches, and take the lid off the defense with the deep ball. Jimmy G has proven to be as good as advertised in his short time with San Francisco, and if they can get him a couple more targets, he could be one of the better signal-callers in the league next season.
