Only one point separates 11th-place West Ham and 13th-place Bournemouth ahead of their game on Saturday at the London Stadium. Saturday’s game will be the clubs’ second meeting since Boxing Day.
After a disastrous tenure at Sunderland, David Moyes’ reputation was at an all-time low. However, since taking over at West Ham, he has turned the club’s season around. In their last eight games, the Hammers have picked up 15 points. Marko Arnautovic looked like one of the worst summer signings until Moyes arrived. In his last seven games, Arnautovic has scored six goals and added two assists. While the results have improved since Moyes took over, the Hammers still struggle to defend. Only two teams, Watford and Stoke have allowed more goals than West Ham.
Bournemouth have picked up points in four straight games to move from the relegation zone to the middle of the table. The Cherries defeated Arsenal 2-1 last weekend, giving the club eight points in their last four games. Callum Wilson has played very well over the past four games, scoring three goals. While Bournemouth are middle of the table with 25 goals, they have allowed the sixth most goals.
