High Salary PG

Kyrie Irving, BOS vs ORL ($8,200): Irving is listed as questionable, but all signs point to him playing on Sunday. Assuming he plays, he’s returning to a great matchup. The Magic are 27th against the position in their last 15 games. Irving had 41.3 fantasy points in 25 minutes against Orlando on Nov. 24. He needs 34.8 fantasy points to hit value on Sunday. Assuming he plays enough minutes, that should be no issue for the Boston point guard. There is worry that his minutes will be down if this one gets out of hand, so grabbing Terry Rozier or Marcus Smart as well would be a good strategy. ****

Ish Smith, DET vs BKN ($6,400): The Nets are 29th against the position in their last 15 games. That should be good news for Smith, but he had 20.3 fantasy points against the Nets on Jan. 10. So, despite the easy matchup, he was unable to take advantage of it just 11 days ago. I still think you have to play the matchup here and figure that Smith won’t bust in two games against them. He needs 27.2 fantasy points to hit value. I think he’ll be around that number. ***

Spencer Dinwiddie, BKN at DET ($6,000): D’Angelo Russell return on Friday, but it didn’t really affect the value of Dinwiddie. He missed value due to the matchup more than the return of Russell. Dinwddie was a huge bust on Jan. 10 against the Pistons, posting 9.1 fantasy points in that contest. He’s played much better since that game, but I can’t say I’m a huge fan of his in this one. He needs 25.5 fantasy points to hit value. I think he’ll fall a little short, but he’s good enough to exceed expectations. **
