DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – January 22, 2018
High Value SG
Andrew Wiggins, MIN at LAC ($6,100): Wiggins had 38.25 fantasy points against the Raptors. He always plays well against Toronto, but his numbers certainly benefitted from the absence of Jimmy Butler. Butler’s status is unknown at the time of this writing, so I’m assuming he won’t play. Not that Tom Thibodeau has ever been cautious with players and their injuries. Assuming Butler is out, that means Wiggins becomes to the go-to perimeter option once again. The Clippers are 27th against the position in their last 15 games. Expect Wiggins to push 30 fantasy points again without Butler. ****
Jamal Murray, DEN vs POR ($6,000): It looked Murray would not be able to play on Friday, but he was a late addition and a big contributor. He had 47.25 fantasy points against the Suns. He hasn’t been great against the Trail Blazers this season, averaging 18.9 fantasy points in two games. The Trail Blazers are 20th against the position in their last 15 games. Murray has been hit-or-miss this season, hitting value in 51 percent of contests. I like him to be around value in this one. ***
Bogdan Bogdanovic, SAC at CHA ($5,500): You have to go back a month since Bogdanovic missed value. He’s firmly in the Kings rotation and he’s putting hit playing time to good usage, posting strong scoring numbers while contributing on the glass. His turnovers have been up in recent games, but I would not expect that to continue. He had 20 fantasy points in 24 minutes against Charlotte on Jan. 2. No one in the league is more reliable than Bogdanovic right now. Until he slows down, keep adding him. ***
