DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – January 22, 2018
High Salary PF
Anthony Davis, NO vs CHI ($10,800): After his monster 83.75 fantasy points and his 75 fantasy point follow-up, Davis has missed value in his last two. Despite that, his salary has risen. That’s largely due to the matchup. The Bulls are 24th against the position in their last 15 games. Davis had 54 fantasy points against the Bulls on Nov. 4. I still like Cousins more than Davis because he’s been a more consistent contributor throughout the season, but Davis should be at a minimum of 45 fantasy points on Monday. ***
Blake Griffin, LAC vs MIN ($8,600): Griffin missed the early season contests against the Timberwolves. Minnesota ranks eighth against power forwards in their last 15 games. Griffin is playing well right now, hitting value in three straight contests. The Clippers offense really boils down to him and Lou Williams doing it all or setting up teammates for looks as they are the only two reliable offense creators. He needs 37.4 fantasy points to hit value on Monday. I like him to be around 40 fantasy points as I don’t like the Timberwolves defense quite as much with Jimmy Butler out of the lineup. ****
Harrison Barnes, DAL vs WAS ($6,500): Barnes has been up and down in recent games. He missed value against the Blazers, struggling with his shot and contributing just 23.5 fantasy points in that contest. The Wizards are 29th against the position in their last 15 games. Barnes has been solid all season, hitting value in 76 percent of games. The Wizards always play to their competition and it’s possible they come out flat and uninterested on Monday. If that’s the case, Barnes will gash them for plenty of points. ****
