The Miami Dolphins made it to the NFL Playoffs after the 2016 season, as their defense and running game led them to a Wild Card spot. However, they lost starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill in the preseason, and had to turn to Jay Cutler to lead them in 2017. That led to the team being very inconsistent from week to week, and when the season was all said and done, they found themselves on the outside looking in at the playoffs.

There were some bright spots to come out of the season, as Kenyon Drake emerged as a legitimate threat at running back. In 2018, the  team expects to have Tannehill back under center, and head coach Adam Gase is one of the better young coaches in pro football. This team has the talent to  get back to the playoffs next season, but they need help on the defensive side of the ball if they want to get there.

The defensive line in Miami is getting up there in age, and they need to inject some good young pass rushers to the mix. Arden Key was one of the better players in the country at doing just that during his time at LSU, though injuries derailed his 2017 season. Key is going to be a great player at the next level, as he has the size and speed to get after the quarterback, and in the AFC East, putting pressure on the likes of Tom Brady is key if you want to be competitive.
