Running Back. Penn State. Saquon Barkley. 4. player. 53.

After selecting their new franchise quarterback with the first overall pick in April, the Browns should look to add a serious weapon behind him in the backfield. The Browns defense was actually pretty good last season, and with Josh Gordon returning at wide receiver, adding a stellar running back would make this offense very interesting in 2018. The best running back in this draft class may be the best running back prospect we have seen in a long time, and the Browns have a legitimate shot at him at No. 4.

That running back is Saquon Barkley from Penn State, who can really do anything out of the backfield. Not only is he a punishing runner, but he can also spring loose for big gains, while also being solid in the passing game. If the team does go with a youngster at quarterback next season, having a great running back will make the transition to the pro game much easier, and we have seen rookie running backs go nuts in recent seasons.

The Browns have a ton of draft picks this year, and with John Dorsey at the helm, the organization could be in good shape moving forward. Barkley is a phenomenal talent, and he could be the best running back the Browns have seen since Jim Brown. That may seem like a crazy statement at this point, but he is as explosive as they come, and the Browns could use a playmaker in the backfield in the worst way.
