Denver Nuggets

Send: Emmanuel Mudiay, 2018 second round pick

Receive: Justise Winslow

The Nuggets have two big areas to address if they are looking to make a move at the trade deadline — backup point guard and small forward. The experiment with Mudiay to turn him into a NBA point guard after a year in China hasn’t worked out, and Jamal Murray has seized control of the starting point guard spot. Wilson Chandler has been a negative for the Nuggets the entire season, and could opt out of his contract in the offseason to find a new team. The Nuggets wouldn’t miss him, and they can send either the Portland or Sacramento second round pick (whichever they receive) over to Miami as well, since the Heat have traded nearly every pick they own for the next four years.

Winslow could move into the starting lineup for the Nuggets, giving them a defensive wing that they desperately need. His ability to score in transition would play with Murray and Harris, and he would allow Denver to move Chandler to the bench with Will Barton to a pseudo-point guard role as a sixth man. Once Paul Millsap returns, the Nuggets would have confidence in their ability to make the playoffs with a lineup of Murray-Harris-Winslow-Millsap-Jokic.
