Charlotte Hornets

Send: Kemba Walker, Marvin Williams

Receive: Darren Collison, Thaddeus Young, 2018 first round pick

While there are indicators that the Hornets could move or keep Walker, it seems more likely that they’ll move him, especially if they can find a team that can take on one of their bad contracts. The Hornets find a taker in the Indiana Pacers, who bite at the opportunity to pair Walker alongside Victor Oladipo in their backcourt, and clear out a spot for Domantas Sabonis in their starting lineup alongside Myles Turner.

The Hornets get Collison and Young, both of whom have contracts that expire at the end of the 2018-19 season, and the Pacers first round pick in the upcoming draft. It’s a move that will get money off their books sooner than they would have had with Williams, and they have an opportunity to find a young prospect in the early 20s of the first round. Collison isn’t a bad option to run the point either until they can acquire their next franchise point guard.
