4. John Cena

John Cena falls into a similar category as Roman Reigns, although the negative responses arguably remain stronger for the latter.

If Cena enters the 2018 Royal Rumble at No. 30, he may receive the similar, eye-roll response from the fans. It’s a “been there, done that” situation with the “Face That Runs the Place,” given his victories in 2008 and 2013. Plus, he headlined multiple WrestleMania events from 2005 to 2013, so will anyone really want to see him win the Rumble again?

Cena may not win, but entering at No. 30 would be another trolling from the WWE. It can solicit a powerful response from the fans, keeping them vocal into the final minutes of the match as superstars battle for the chance at a WrestleMania championship bout.

WWE can also use the 16-time world champion as the guy to put someone else over, likely via an elimination. Maybe it’s the wrath of Braun Strowman, or if the WWE feels it needs to give Reigns yet another push.

Don’t expect Cena to win the Royal Rumble, but there are uses for him at the final spot.
