1. Donovan Mitchell

We’ve heard rumblings that Donovan Mitchell has also not received an official invitation to the Slam Dunk Contest.

What is wrong with the NBA?

Donovan Mitchell is a one-man Dunk Contest. He’s been finishing highlight-reel dunks practically every night this year. Mitchell dunks in traffic, he dunks on rim protectors, he throws down beautiful works of dunking art in the open floor. There is absolutely no reason why Donovan Mitchell should not be in the Dunk Contest.

In fact, if Donovan Mitchell is not selected for the Dunk Contest, I say we call a boycott of the Dunk Contest. That is how strongly we feel he needs to be included in this year’s event. Start a petition now, we’ll sign it. Get us the number for the league office, we’ll flood them with calls. Get on Social Media, start a hashtag campaign.

We suggest #MitchellMustDunk2018.

Do not let this man be excluded from the Slam Dunk Contest.

Sure, Mitchell might have said he doesn’t need the Dunk Contest, but the Dunk Contest needs Mitchell. And so do we.

The rookie standout was recently selected for the Rising Stars challenge but we say that is in no way enough. We want to see more rising from Mitchell, challenging the best athletes in the NBA to match him dunk for dunk.

Dunk Contest or bust.

Do not let this travesty happen to the 2018 NBA All-Star Weekend! Take to the streets! Write to your Senators!

Our Dunk Contest enjoyment depends on it.
