The Sixers still need more talent than their overnight success would make you think. They use a variety of older (Jerryd Bayless, J.J. Redick) and younger (Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot) guys in their wing rotation, but it will thin out again next summer as several contracts expire. Bridges would be massive addition.
He has suffered through a mini cold streak from distance, shooting 2-of-13 over his last two games. All that means is that his 3-point efficiency is no longer absurd and now simply elite. He cans those shots like it’s nothing, often with a hand or two in his face. There is no reason to worry about his shot.
On the other hand, Villanova continues to win with their recipe, which is heavy on Bridges and point guard Jalen Brunson. Coach Jay Wright runs a fairly professional system, and lets Bridges go to work in a variety of ways. He has jumped up a level this year, and would bring high-floor contribution to Philadelphia.
