30-Woman Over-The-Top Royal Rumble Match

For the first time in WWE history, there will be a 30-Woman-Over-The-Top Royal Rumble Match and I couldn’t be more excited for this. I’m extremely pleased that they didn’t go with lower than 30 entrants and are keeping things equal by having the women go over the top rope instead of them just having them have to hit the floor as they’ve done with women’s battle royals in the past. This has the potential to be a lot of fun if done correctly.

With a solid group of superstars on the current roster, this match would go just fine with them there, but without enough to get to 30, we’re bound to have some nice surprises during this match. Whether we see some women from NXT or some past superstars (just give me Trish vs. Lita for two minutes while others are down and can watch), this is going to be great.

Prediction: There are a lot of different ways creative could go with this. Had Paige remained healthy and been involved, I really think she would have been one of the favorites here. Unfortunately and tragically, she may never step foot in a WWE ring again, so there’s a different direction to be taken. There’s Nia Jax, but I don’t think she’s ready for the spotlights of WrestleMania. There’s Becky Lynch or Sasha Banks or Bayley, but they’ve already held titles and I think the crowd wouldn’t take too kindly to one of them winning it. The most obvious choice here is Asuka, and that’s who I’m taking as my official pick. And please, no Ronda Rousey. Not yet.
