NHL Top prospects game: Who hurt, helped stock?
Filip Zadina – Stock up
Filip Zadina continues to impress as his draft stock continues to rise. Zadina introduced himself to the hockey community during the World Junior tournament this January where he had seven goals in eight games. Zadina has also had a great season in the QMJHL playing for the Halifax Mooseheads scoring 53 points in 38 games.
Every level he plays at he excels. Zadina is closing the gap on Svechnikov for the second overall pick at the draft. It will be very exciting to watch these two players down the stretch and see if they can separate themselves from each other.
During the top prospects game Zadina scored two goals in the third period to help put the game away. He was a player that took control of the game from the start. He created numerous opportunities for himself and his teammates throughout the whole game. If there was a player at the top of the draft who made a big impact in their stock it was Zadina.
It is expected Philip will go in the top five of this draft, whichever team grabs Zadina in the draft will get an instant boost on offense, he may not be a first year NHL player but he will be an exciting add to anyone’s prospect pipeline.
