NHL Top prospects game: Who hurt, helped stock?
Alexis Gravel – Stock Down
Alexis Gravel has had a steady season for the Halifax Mooseheads of the QMJHL posting 11 wins so far. Thursday night he started the game and played the first half. Gravel started the game well and held Team Cherry scoreless for the first fourteen minutes of the game. Then things took a turn for the worst, Team Cherry were able to score four goals in just three minutes.
Gravel wasn’t to blame for all four goals but it wasn’t the performance he was looking for. His back up, who played the second half of the game Kevin Mandolese also had a hard time stopping Team Cherry by giving up two goals.

Gravel will likely see a slight dip in his draft stock after the game. Allowing five goals in half of the game isn’t an accurate representation for how well he played. Gravel made a couple of big time saves to keep the game from being a blowout. He will be able to make up for it with a strong second half of the season and a run for the Memorial Cup. It is also unfortunate for Gravel that the goalie he went up against had a strong night. Olivier Rodrigue turned away all but one goal in a period and a half of play.
