4. Twin Power

The Celtics have Marcus Morris. He has a twin named Markieff Morris, who plays for the Washington Wizards. The Wizards have Marcin Gortat. He has a twin named Aron Baynes who plays for the Boston Celtics.

Only half of that prior paragraph is true.

I don’t care about the Morris twins being on the same team. I want a Baynes-Gortat duo for no reason other than it’s amusing to me. This deal doesn’t make a lot of sense for the Wizards, especially since Markieff at center is Washington’s secret weapon, but Boston would likely jump on this one.

Morris is an upgrade over Baynes and they can pull some fun twin magic stuff. Maybe Marcus is playing well, but he has four fouls. They could switch jerseys at halftime. All of a sudden, Markieff is dominating the game. Shhh. It’s really Marcus.

This deal also gives a new layer to the Celtics-Wizards rivalry. In fact, forget Kyrie Irving vs. John Wall in the playoffs. This matchup should be decided in a two-on-two game between the Morris Twins and Baytat Twins.

While things look good on paper. This thing probably falls apart when Ainge refuses to include Shane Larkin. Why would he refuse to include Shane Larkin when he has Terry Rozier? I don’t know. Ainge is a weird dude and gets attached to players that don’t seem all that useful to you and I.
