3. Creating the most unstoppable team ever

Pelicans receive: Draymond Green, Nick Young, Patrick McCaw and Warriors 2018 and 2019 first-round pick

Warriors receive: Anthony Davis

As if the Warriors weren’t good enough already, could you imagine if they added a perennial All-Star like Anthony Davis? A lineup with Kevin Durant, Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Davis would be virtually impossible to guard. Obviously they’d lose the most versatile player in the NBA, but it’d be worth it to acquire Davis.

Draymond Green is the most versatile player in the NBA, but at one point in his career it was a question if you could validate how good he actually is. Was he a product of the system the Warriors run or is he really as good as the eye test and numbers say he is?

Patrick McCaw would be a good addition at the guard position for the Pelicans knowing that they have a major deficiency there. McCaw isn’t a guy that creates shots for himself and others, but he can spread the floor, play defense and most importantly he knows his role. They would have to re-sign McCaw at the end of the year because he’ll be a free agent but that shouldn’t be a problem for them.

The Warriors picks that would be sent to the Pelicans wouldn’t be that great of picks seeing as they’d probably win a title every season, but having Green under contract for the next few years is always nice to not have to worry about. Who knows, the Pelicans could find a gem at the end of the first round.
