After beating the Seattle Seahawks in Week 17, the Arizona Cardinals were told by their head coach that he would not be returning. Bruce Arians retired after the 2017 season, and starting quarterback Carson Palmer followed him a few weeks later. That left the Cardinals with two huge holes in their organization, though they were able to hire Steve Wilks to be their new head coach a couple of weeks ago, plucking the defensive coordinator from Carolina.

When it comes to the quarterback position that is another story, though they could find their solution in the draft. Josh Allen has really turned heads during the Senior Bowl, and some believe he could even be the top pick in the draft. While that may seem like a bit of stretch at this point, he could also fall to Arizona at No. 15, and they would be wise to select him if he does drop that low in round one.

Allen is a big body quarterback, and has the arm strength to make all the throws at the NFL level. The Cardinals do get star running back David Johnson back this season, as well as veteran wideout Larry Fitzgerald. Allen has the talent to start right away in the NFL, and on a Cardinals team that could be a playoff contender next season, he would have every chance to earn the starting job this summer if he heads to the desert.
