The Seattle Seahawks failed to make the playoffs for the first time since 2011 this season, and that was mostly due to some terrible injuries to their defense. On offense, they made a nice move mid-season to acquire left tackle Duane Brown from the Houston Texans, as they tried to give Russell Wilson a little more protection. The offensive line really let Wilson down this season, as he was running for his life nearly every time he dropped back to pass.

Moving forward, the Seahawks have a lot of issue to address. They let go most of their coaching staff already this offseason, and guys like Kam Chancellor and Cliff Avril will try to come back from serious injuries. While Brown was a nice a stopgap on the offensive line, they need to get younger up front, and drafting a long-term solution at left tackle would be the smart thing to do in April.

Ever since arriving at Texas, Connor Williams has been one of the best lineman in all of college football. He will be a first round pick in April, and could even go higher than No. 19. However, he could provide the Seahawks with a left tackle for the rest of Wilson’s career, and after the amount of hits he has taken in recent seasons, drafting Williams would likely be a welcome sight for their star quarterback.
