2018 NFL mock draft: Baker Mayfield heads to Jets
By Brad Weiss
Many expected the Tennessee Titans to make it to the playoffs this season, this after a breakout season from quarterback Marcus Mariota in 2016. Mariota injured his leg at the end of the 2016 regular season, but it seemed all the pieces were in place for them to make a run in 2017. The Titans did in fact make it to the playoffs, clinching a Wild Card spot, and winning a huge game in the Wild Card Round.
Mariota and the Titans went into Kansas City and beat the Chiefs, who won the AFC West for the second straight season. However, they were pasted by the New England Patriots in the Divisional Round, ending their nice run. Heading into next season, they still have the pieces in place to possibly win the AFC South, and maybe get to actually host a playoff game in the process.
Delanie Walker is still a fantastic tight end, making it to the Pro Bowl this season. However, he is getting up there in age, and the Titans may want to start thinking about bringing in a young body to take his position moving forward. Mark Andrews from Oklahoma is a tight end that could hear his name called in the first round this April, and Mariota would like nothing more than for the team to add another weapon to the passing game.
