6. Terry Bradshaw, Pittsburgh Steelers, Super Bowl XIII

Despite owning the most Super Bowls of any NFL team, the Pittsburgh Steelers only got one quarterback on this list, Terry Bradshaw. The star quarterback dominated in his team’s victory over the Dallas Cowboys in Super Bowl XIII.

This game was a fight from the beginning between two of the most storied franchises in the NFL. It was the first time two teams met for a second time in a Super Bowl. The Cowboys were also looking to win their second straight.

Bradshaw was the regular season MVP with his league-leading 28 touchdown passes. Pittsburgh also featured a pair of star receivers, Lynn Swann and John Stallworth. Fullback Franco Harris was also a part of this offense.

Both teams rolled through the playoffs for their Super Bowl matchup. It was a meeting between Bradshaw and Roger Staubach. The two teams also had nicknamed defenses in the “Steel Curtain” and “Doomsday Defense”.

The game featured an explosive outing by Bradshaw. He won the MVP after throwing four touchdowns and 318 yards. Both were records at the time. Some say this was the greatest Super Bowl ever played (more on that later).
