13. Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers, Super Bowl XLV

Another player that is still active and the youngest on the list is Green Bay Packers’ Aaron Rodgers. The former league MVP led his team to victory in Super Bowl XLV. The Packers were able to defeat the Pittsburgh Steelers.

It was only Rodgers third season as the starter after taking over for Brett Favre. They were a solid team all season led by their quarterback and a strong defense. Despite injuries at the tight end and running back position, Rodgers and the offense picked up their scoring in the playoffs. However it got dicey with a close win over the Chicago Bears in the NFC Championship.

Once in the Super Bowl Rodgers looked more like the quarterback we are now so accustomed to seeing. He used his myriad of weapons to pick apart the Steelers secondary inlcuding Defensive Player of the Year Troy Polamalu.

The Packers would win the game 31-25. Rodgers outdueled Ben Roethlisberger and the Packers defense forced the Steelers’ quarterback into two interceptions. Rodgers stat line finished with 24-of-39 for 304 yards and three touchdowns.

Green Bay’s quarterback would win the MVP award for his efforts. Rodgers has not been back to the Super Bowl since, coming one game short in 2017’s playoffs against the Atlanta Falcons.
