High Salary C

Andre Drummond, DET vs MEM ($10,200): The Grizzlies are 17th against the position and on a back-to-back. If Blake Griffin plays, he will certainly cut into the rebounding numbers of Drummond, but he should help in other ways. He will likely increase his assist numbers and he’ll see more scoring opportunities given how good of a passer Griffin is. If Griffin doesn’t play, then you can expect another big night from Drummond as he’s the top option on a Pistons team that typically lacks offense. Either way, I like Drummond to have a strong night. ****

Karl-Anthony Towns, MIN vs MIL ($9,300): Towns has missed value in his last two. I have to imagine that the Timberwolves figure out that they are a better team when Towns gets more touches in the offense. He’s failed to score 20 points in five of his last six. That’s unacceptable for a talent of his caliber. His rebounding numbers have remained strong, which is a positive sign, but he needs to put up bigger scoring numbers. Of course, it’s tough to score if you don’t get shots. He’s a risk due to recent play, but Minnesota will lean on him at some point. It may as well be against an undersized Milwaukee squad. **

Steven Adams, OKC at DEN ($7,000): Without Mason Plumlee, Adams should have an easy time in the paint and on the boards against the Nuggets. He’s been over value in his last two and over 30 fantasy points in every game since Jan. 10. He needs 31.1 fantasy points to hit value on Thursday. He had 24.2 fantasy points against the Nuggets on Nov. 9, but I’d throw that game out the window based on where these two teams currently are. Expect another solid performance from Adams on Thursday. ***
