High Value PF

Trey Lyles, DEN vs OKC ($5,800): After hitting value in five straight, Lyles was a miss on Tuesday against the Spurs. I expect him to bounce back against the Thunder. He gets the most three-point attempts per game for the Nuggets and the Thunder definitely give up plenty of threes. He had 28.5 fantasy points against them on Dec. 18. He needs 25.1 fantasy points to hit value on Thursday. He should be nicely over that number in this contest. ****

Markieff Morris, WAS vs TOR ($5,700): Morris has been over value in five straight. In four of those games, he’s been 12-plus fantasy points over value. The Wizards have unleashed Morris at center a bit more, which has been a big positive for them and Morris’ value. If he continues to be used as the small ball center, I like his value a lot more, especially against a Raptors team that ranks 21st against centers in their last 15 games. ***

Taj Gibson, MIN vs MIL ($5,400): Gibson missed value for the first time in four games on Tuesday against the Raptors, posting 17.5 fantasy points in that contest. I’m expecting him to bounce back in this one given the matchup. The Bucks are 23rd against the position in their last 15 games. Gibson had 22.4 fantasy points against them on Dec. 28. That number would put him right at value on Thursday. I think he’ll be slightly over that number as he provides his usual points and an increased number of rebounds. ***
