player. 147. . F/C. Gonzaga. Killian Tillie. 28

Tillie makes his first appearance in this space all season thanks to the lackadaisical performances of his 2018 class counterparts this week (cough: Hamidou Diallo).

He put up 27 points against Portland this week, making an incredible 11 of 14 shots to give Gonzaga a victory. Earlier in the year, he did battle with Creighton’s Khyri Thomas and emerged victorious in that game as well. After a season backing up Zach Collins in Washington, the sophomore is emerging as a legitimate stretch four prospect, upping his usage rate past 22 percent and becoming a go-to scoring option for the Bulldogs.

The numbers just pop off the page: a .569/.365/.792 shooting split to back up his solid scoring (12.3 points per game) and rebounding (6.3 per game) averages. He has taken on a level of responsibility and handled it perfectly.

What separates Tillie from other stretchy bigs is his ability to move on defense and the shots he can make on the inside. Tillie can easily finish plays on the short roll at this point. Between passing to the corners, driving past bigger defenders and nailing floaters, it’s hard not to be impressed with his development.

The Nets love shooting, and Tillie would bring it.
