The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series schedule may not change a ton from year to year, but there are definitely enough tweaks to it for 2018 that it’s worth talking about a few of them.

The season still begins and ends in Florida, but it’s going to take a different route to get there. For the first time, that road includes two stops in Las Vegas, with its traditional early season race being joined by a playoff race in September.

The Brickyard 400 will move out of its blazing hot summer heat to early September, where it will serve as the cutoff race for the NASCAR playoffs. And speaking of the playoffs, the most intriguing wrinkle of all may be the addition of the Charlotte road course, which could shake things up quite a bit.

Seems like plenty of talking points, which hopefully will ensure fan interest is high all season long. Here’s a look at how the 2018 schedule will play out, week by week.
