Notre Dame. Quenton Nelson. 11. player. 59. . Offensive Guard

The Miami Dolphins made it to the playoffs as a Wild Card team in 2016, and the thought was they would at least return to the postseason in 2017. However, starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill was injured during the summer, and the team had to turn to Jay Cutler to play the position. While Cutler did have success with Dolphins head coach Adam Gase in the past, that was not the story this past season, and the Dolphins finished the season towards the bottom of the AFC East.

In 2018, Tannehill is expected to be ready to go, and he will return to an offense that saw some unknown players explode in 2017. Running back Kenyon Drake made Jay Ajayi expendable, and he should be a player that is in for a huge season in 2018. Jarvis Landry is one of the best wide receivers in all of football, and the Dolphins defense showed last season that they can shut down the best of offenses in the NFL.

One area of need heading into next season is offensive guard, and Quenton Nelson would be a perfect fit for the Dolphins offensive line. If they can get better at guard, Drake could be one of the better running backs in the AFC next season, and it would add protection for Tannehill. Miami made the right pick when they selected Laremy Tunsil in 2016 in the first round, and it is always a good decision to bolster the offensive line.
