2018 NFL Mock Draft: Josh Rosen goes to Broncos
By Brad Weiss
The Baltimore Ravens nearly made the playoffs last season, and really only needed to win a home game in Week 17 to get into the postseason. Well, the Ravens were pasted by the Cincinnati Bengals in their own building, putting an end to a very inconsistent season for the team. As they look to 2018, they know they have the defense to make another run next season, but they need to get better on the offensive side of the ball.
One area of need is definitely the passing game, where they struggled to play consistent football all season long. Quarterback Joe Flacco has had an up and down career since winning the Super bowl six years ago, and despite the fact the team had some playmakers on offense last season, he just played headscratching football at times. The Ravens need to add some more talent to the passing game, and Mark Andrews from Oklahoma could wind up being a standout player at the next level.
Tight End is such a premium position in the NFL, and Andrews is the best at the position that this draft class has to offer. He has such incredible hands, and is not afraid to go over the middle. Getting a player who can make the tough catches in traffic will go a long way for Flacco, and enable him to take those shots downfield that he so loves to do. Baltimore could be a playoff team next season, and a good offseason could get them there.
