2018 NFL Mock Draft: Josh Rosen goes to Broncos
By Brad Weiss
In 2016, the Dallas Cowboys were the class of the NFC, as they posted the best record in the conference, enroute to being the No. 1 seed in the playoffs. However, they lost their Divisional Round game at home against the Green Bay Packers, which led to a pretty disappointing 2017 season. The Cowboys did not even make the playoffs this season, as they had to deal with some injuries, and the fact that star running back Ezekiel Elliott was suspended for six games.
Heading into next season, the Cowboys roster has a ton of talent on both sides of the ball. Elliott has served his suspension, which should make Dallas so much better on offense in 2018. On defense, the Cowboys got great play from their young secondary, which was a huge step in the right defection, as the team lost so much veteran leadership back there last offseason. If they have an area where they need to get better on defense, it would be up front on the defensive line.
Maurice Hurst from Michigan is a good-looking talent, who should be a solid player at the next level. He has incredible speed for a guy his size, and has no trouble chasing down running backs. He also has the power to move offensive lineman, and on the Cowboys, he would give them a formidable force in the middle of their defensive line for years to come.
