The Los Angeles Rams came out of nowhere to win the NFC West this season, as first-year head coach Sean McVay shrugged off all of the naysayers. McVay was given the gig as a 31-year old, which turned a lot of heads around the NFL. In addition, he was taking over a franchise who seemed to make a mistake by drafting Jared Goff first overall in 2016, though Goff put those naysayers to rest as well in 2017.

Goff ended up making it to his first Pro Bowl, and McVay was named the Associated Press Coach of the Year. The Rams did lose their playoff game, but the stage is set for this team to be a good one for years to come. Making the move to Los Angeles was a gutsy one of the organization, but they are starting to win over fans, and running back Todd Gurley II may be the best back in the conference.

On defense, Aaron Donald is the best defensive tackle in the game, and he only seems to get better. This Rams team does need help on that side of the ball, but their biggest area of need is in the secondary. Adding a player like Josh Jackson from Iowa would give them the kind of shutdown cornerback they have been lacking, and after leading the FBS in interceptions last season, Jackson is the kind of defensive back that could really be a playmaker at the next level.
