The Tennessee Titans took the next step forward in 2017, as they clinched a playoff spot as a Wild Card team. In the playoffs, the Titans pulled off one of the biggest upsets we saw, as they went into Kansas City and beat the Chiefs in front of their home fans. In the Divisional Round, they actually got out to a 7-0 lead against the New England Patriots, only to see the Pats reel off 38 straight points enroute to the blowout win.

While the offense is loaded with talent, especially at quarterback, the defense needs to add more players who can get after the quarterback. Playing in the AFC South, the Titans need to be able to get after the quarterback on a consistent basis, and they may want to add a pass rusher via the draft. Arden Key from LSU is one of the best players in this draft class at doing just that, and he should be a first round pick in April.

For most of the year, many believed that Key would be the top pass rusher chosen in April. However, he has had to deal with too many injuries to his body during his time with the Tigers, and it may affect his draft status. He shouldn’t slip to the second round, and if he is still available late in round one, the Titans may be able to nab a real gem of a player on and off the field. Tennessee is here to stay, and could take over the division next season.
