2018 NFL Mock Draft: Josh Rosen goes to Broncos
By Brad Weiss
The Jacksonville Jaguars made it all the way to the AFC Championship Game this season, and it looked like they would be heading to the Super Bowl, as they went into the fourth quarter against the New England Patriots up ten points. However, Tom Brady used a little bit of his magic, and before the final whistle blew, the Patriots were headed to their second consecutive Super Bowl. Still, this team is headed in the right direction, and a lot of their success this season was due to the running back they drafted in the first round in 2017.
Leonard Fournette was the fourth overall selection in 2017, and he certainly showed he belonged in the NFL in his rookie season. With the team’s first round pick in 2018, they will be picking a lot later in the first round, and may want to grab someone who can clear a path for Fournette for the next five seasons. Isaiah Wynn is one of the higher regarded guard prospects in this draft class, and he is going to be a really good player at the next level.
Wynn is a big body, and during his time at Georgia, he also played some offensive tackle. He has the size you look for in an offensive lineman that you would pick in the first round, and this Jaguars team is only a couple players away form being a Super Bowl contender. They have decided to stick with Blake Bortles for at least next season, which means trading up for a quarterback in April is likely off the table.
