2018 NFL Mock Draft: Josh Rosen goes to Broncos
By Brad Weiss
Incredibly, the Philadelphia Eagles won the Super Bowl on Sunday, as they toppled defending champion New England by the score of 41-33. Quarterback Nick Foles continued his stellar play in the playoffs, as he led the offense to an incredible performance against Tom Brady and company. This Eagles team was a team of destiny, as they shook off losing their starting quarterback Carson Wentz to a knee injury in Week 13, and won all three playoff games despite being the underdog in each.
Heading into next season, the Eagles have to find an answer for the injury to Jason Peters. Peters has been a Hall of Fame left tackle for the team for the last decade, but like Wentz, he tore up his knee this past season. Chukwuma Okorafor would be a nice replacement for Peters, and a guy with his size and athleticism should be able to stay on the left side at the next level.
The City of Philadelphia was treated to their first Super Bowl win, and they certainly are some of the best fans the NFL has to offer. Wentz should be back under center next season, but there is no guarantee he will be ready for Week 1. Foles showed he has the talent to win a Super Bowl as a starting quarterback, and you can be sure some team is gong to try to pry him from the hands of the Eagles organization.
