Alabama. Minkah Fitzpatrick. 4. player. 53. . Defensive Back

Thanks to the trade they made with the Houston Texans during the 2017 NFL Draft, the Cleveland Browns will pick in the No. 4 spot this April. Having two picks in the top four selections gives the Browns an incredible chance to really improve their roster moving forward. However, the Browns have swung and missed so many times during the NFL Draft in recent years that many believe they will mess this one up as well.

New general manager John Dorsey is going to turn this thing around, as he has a proven track record in the NFL. While the Browns could go in many directions with the fourth pick, they may decide it is time to upgrade at the cornerback position. Cleveland traded away Joe Haden during the 2017 NFL season, sending him within the division to the Pittsburgh Steelers, so the time has come for them to draft his replacement.

Minkah Fitzpatrick from Alabama is the best cornerback in this draft class, and he should be an immediate starter in the NFL. He has the versatility to play all over the secondary, but will be a shutdown cornerback at the next level. The Browns were actually pretty decent on defense last season, so spending a high draft pick to upgrade the unit makes a lot of sense at No. 4 overall. If they keep the pick, they could find an elite defensive back in Fitzpatrick.
