3.Thunder receive Jeremy Lamb for Alex Abrines

The Charlotte Hornets would love to dump off some salary. Jeremy Lamb is a modest scorer who will play average defense. The reoccurring theme here is to add some defense and scoring to compensate for Roberson’s absence.

Lamb’s presence may add a flare to OKC’s playoff push. Let’s be honest, there is not a lot of talent separation among seeds 3-8 in the West. A player like Lamb could be a difference in a series. According to ESPN, OKC is in the top-five of defense efficiency this season. Lamb would be leaving Charlotte, another team in the top-10 of the same statistic.

Abrines has averaged modest numbers in his second season with OKC. His age is one upside for Charlotte. Charlotte’s core is not getting any younger. Furthermore, Charlotte is reportedly trying to shop guard Kemba Walker. Abrines could head up the next wave of talent in Charlotte.
