player. 95. . LW. New York Rangers. Rick Nash. 12

Rick Nash has not been the same player ever since he turned 30. We all know about his playoff disappearances. On the surface, he’s not the most desirable asset.

But, come on. It’s Rick Nash. He’s on an expiring contract and he didn’t forget how to stand in front of the net and score goals. Some team out there is going to take a chance on him. And the Rangers should be doing everything in their power to move him. The Rangers are still in a prime position to compete for a wild card spot, but there’s no way Nash figures into their future plans.

If I’m a team searching for an extra scoring punch, I’m taking a chance on Nash. As long as you’re not giving up assets that figure into your longterm plans, Nash can be an effective body in front of the net on the power play.

His offensive production is down, but his possession numbers aren’t as bad as you may think. If he’s correctly, he’s worth taking a flier on.

Need a Henrik Lundqvist Funko POP! for the fan cave? Of course you do.

As a longtime Rick Nash fan, I want to see this man succeed. He’s endured a lot during his career and he deserves a chance to make an impact on a team with Stanley Cup aspirations.

What’s Washington up to? Alex Ovechkin has to be tired of taking all the blame for their playoff failures. He should press management to acquire Nash so he can pass the buck after another second round exit.
