4. Everyone hates Wall

According to J.J. Barea, John Wall’s teammates don’t like him. But what if Barea is one of Wall’s teammates?

This trade serves multiple purposes. Let me list them for you.

*It puts Barea and Wall on the same team. Maybe they fight. Maybe they get along great. I don’t know. But I want to see it.

*It drastically improves the Washington bench. Does it make them a contender in the East? Probably not. Who cares. Barea and Wall are on the same team.

*It gets Nerlens Noel some playing time. Plus, his arms are long enough to keep Wall and Barea separated.

*Barea, Wesley Matthews, and Noel are too good to be on a Mavericks team that needs to build around Dennis Smith Jr. and Harrison Barnes. They’re not good enough to help the Mavericks win right now, but they’re good enough to help the Mavericks win too much. Dallas needs to full on embrace the process. They can only do that if they offload these guys.

*Mark Cuban loves chaos and sending them to the Wizards creates chaos.

*Who cares what the Mavericks get back. I chose these guys to make the salaries work. The Mavericks still have plenty of cap room to pretend they are players for big free agents, only to end up with Cuban driving around town calling a captive DeAndre Jordan.

I’m very excited at the prospect Wall and Barea on the same team. Have I mentioned that? God bless the NBA.
