2018 NBA Mock Draft: Mohamed Bamba could be the Suns’ last building block
Fans and scouts watching Oregon this year aren’t going to be amazed by Brown’s production, but the Hornets would be getting a really nice player if they drafted him.
One thing coach Steve Clifford has been really successful doing during his time in Charlotte is developing wings. From Jeremy Lamb to Treveon Graham, the Hornets have a nice stable of rotation wings to draw from. But they have never had a guy with Brown’s upside as a ball-handler and defender.
If Charlotte does move on from Kemba Walker between now and July 1, they will need an upside young player to feel good about. Picking low in the lottery once again, there isn’t a great option. Brown, however, could become one of the better players in the class.
He has secondary ball-handler potential at the same time as lockdown defensive potential.
