. WR. Miami Dolphins. Jarvis Landry. 2. player. 59

No, this is not the greatest crop of free agents hitting the market this spring. However, there are a handful of names that look pretty enticing in the wide receiver market. One of the most notable players that fits that criteria is four-year veteran wide receiver Jarvis Landry of the Miami Dolphins. Now why would he be potentially hitting the open market as a three-time Pro Bowler?

Well, simply put, Miami is inherently dysfunctional. The Dolphins have only made the playoffs once in the last nine years. Landry might have led the NFL in receptions in 2017, but didn’t eclipse 1,000 receiving yards. How is that possible? Jay Cutler, that’s how that was possible.

Landry had been on the trading block last season, along with former teammate in running back Jay Ajayi, who was traded to the eventual Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles. We know that Landry can put up stats as a possession receiver in a middling offense, but why would he want to leave the Dolphins for say the Jaguars?

Landry is about to get paid, as he just completed his four-year rookie deal worth $3,474,911. He’s worth way more than that as a three-time Pro Bowler in the prime of his NFL career. Landry could be the big candidate to replace Jaguars No. 1 wide receiver Allen Robinson should he leave North Florida. Expect those two to make the most money atop the free agency wide receiver market.
