High Value C

Dewayne Dedmon, ATL vs CLE ($5,100): It was a rough night for everyone in that Magic-Hawks game on Thursday, including Dedmon. Orlando was a good matchup and they wet the bed, but they should bounce back against a shorthanded Cavaliers squad. Dedmon hasn’t been great for weeks and he’s certainly a risk at this price, but the matchup and circumstances are too good to not take a second glance at. **

Tristan Thompson, CLE at ATL ($4,700): Unless Larry Nance Jr. plays, Thompson is the only true frontcourt option for the Cavaliers. He’s been playing solid minutes since Kevin Love went down with injury and his minutes should be up to 30 in this one. He needs 20.9 fantasy points to reach value on Friday. Given the opportunities he’ll see and the matchup, that should be no issue for the Cavaliers center. He’s a nice low-cost option who could be in for a big night. ***

Myles Turner, IND at BOS ($6,500): Turner continues to deal with injuries and it’s led to poor play. He contributed 12 fantasy points in 23 minutes against the Wizards on Monday. The upside is certainly there, but until he shows it on a consistent basis, he’s a risky player. The Celtics are on a back-to-back and rank 22nd against the position. The matchup is good. The situation is good. But Turner’s recent play has me concerned. **
