High Salary PG

Spencer Dinwiddie, BKN vs NO ($7,100): Dinwiddie has been over value in six straight. D’Angelo Russell is still struggling to find his footing following his injury, so Dinwiddie remains the best perimeter option on the Nets. The Pelicans are on a back-to-back and rank 23rd against the position in their last 15 games. He had 18.6 fantasy points in 22 minutes against the Pelicans on Dec. 27. Expect his minutes to be up and his production to be well over that number on Saturday. ****

Dennis Smith Jr., DAL vs LAL ($7,100): Smith Jr. had 37.1 fantasy points against the Warriors on Thursday. He posted 29.9 fantasy points against the Lakers on Jan. 13. That number would put him right at value on Saturday. If Isaiah Thomas makes his Lakers debut, grab Smith Jr. and watch him torch the defense of Thomas. Even if Thomas doesn’t play, this is a great matchup for Smith Jr. He’s been up-and-down in recent contests, but is Harrison Barnes is unable to play, he becomes their best scorer. ****

Jamal Murray, DEN at PHO ($7,100): Yes, all three salary plays will cost you the same price. It shows that great matchups and great value you can get at point guard on Saturday. If you want to save $100, Elfrid Payton should have a successful debut in Phoenix against the Nuggets on a back-to-back. However, Murray will likely have a better game than Payton, making that extra $100 money well spent. The Nuggets played on Friday, with Murray contributing 7.2 fantasy points against the Rockets. That’s bad. The last time we saw the Suns, they were losing by 50 to the Spurs. It won’t come quite that easy for the Nuggets, but their offense against the Suns defense is a matchup that has to be taken advantage of, regardless of how they looked on Friday. *****
