One team that has been endlessly linked to Kirk Cousins so far is the Denver Broncos, and with good reason. They are in desperate need of a quarterback as the trio of Brock Osweiler, Trevor Siemian, and Paxton Lynch have collectively fallen on their faces. General manager John Elway acknowledged his failure at finding a quarterback after the season ended and will be looking to rectify that mistake. He didn’t dance around the subject and that is likely the reason he decided to stick with coach Vance McDonald one more season-

"“We expect to have an answer there, however that goes,” said Elway, the Broncos’ president of football operations and general manager. “I think that thought process makes me think we’re going to have a better year. Because the fact is we’ve got to figure out how to get that position playing better. … There is no doubt we’ve got to get better at that position. For us to have a chance to get better, we’ve got to get better at that position.”"

Perhaps the best way to address the situation is to try and lure Brees away from New Orleans and follow in the footsteps of Peyton Manning. The future Hall of Famer went from the Indianapolis Colts to Denver and would up putting up records and winning a Super Bowl ring. The Broncos still have a lot of pieces on the defensive side of the football and two excellent receivers in Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders. Brees could slide right in and make that offense hum, bringing Denver back to contender status and also giving Elway time to find a succession plan.
