1. New Orleans Saints

The picture above really says it all as far as why the best possible fit for Drew Brees is in New Orleans. He’s won a Super Bowl with coach Sean Payton and they were seconds away from walking into Minnesota and knocking off the powerhouse Vikings in their building. It took one of the craziest plays in NFL history to lose that game. Most of the same crew will be back for the Saints this upcoming season, and the offense played just as well as it ever has.

The Saints finished in the top five in total yards, passing and rushing yards, and total points. Receiver Michael Thomas is entering his third season and may still yet grow at the NFL level. The running back duo of Mark Ingram and Offensive Rookie of the Year Alvin Kamara are the best duo in football and make life easier for Brees. Speedster receiver Ted Ginn could also take a nice leap in his second season in the system.

In addition to everything Brees has working for him on the offense, the Saints defense took major strides this past season and is a great spot to continue to get better. Anchored by defensive end Cameron Jordan and cornerback Marshon Lattimore, there’s reason to believe we haven’t seen the best from this unit yet.

Brees is also a pillar of the New Orleans community with his charity work and how he helped the city after Hurricane Katrina. It’s extremely hard to envision Brees on another team, even of there are teams that are great fits on paper. The Saints are a good football team and it would be a shock if Brees is wearing a different uniform for the 2018 season.
