Wrestling legend Rey Mysterio will be in action against Jushin “Thunder” Liger at NJPW Strong Style Evolved 2018.

Breaking news in the world of professional wrestling. It’s been recently announced that WWE Alumni Rey Mysterio will be wrestling for NJPW at the upcoming Strong Style Evolved  event on March 25, 2018.  He is expected to go against another fellow wrestling legend known as Jushin “Thunder” Liger in a one-on-one match. The event is expected to air on AXS TV in the U.S.

Despite being scheduled to appear for an event for NJPW, Mysterio has recently stated that there is a possibility of him returning to WWE since his big return at the Royal Rumble of last month.

“I want to say that there is a big possibility that I will be back,” said Mysterio(via Mirror). “[We’re] figuring out what the situation is, you know from both ends. But there is definitely a positive feedback on behalf of the fans, on behalf of the WWE staff and behalf of myself man. I think we’re possibly going to sit down and negotiate something where we can both work together and have a good time and enjoy.”

Rey Mysterio has generated huge buzz as of late and will continue due to his upcoming match in addition rumors surrounding him possibly wrestling for WWE. It’s worth noting as well that Mysterio appeared to be in phenomenal shape since his departure from WWE in 2015. However, keep in mind that Mysterio is 43 years-old, which means a full-time return to WWE may be unlikely.

Could Rey Mysterio be on his way back to WWE and if he does, will he have any involvement with the cruiserweight division. Also, will he be doing more matches with NJPW this year after his match with Liger?

Wrestling fans will have to wait and see.
