1. Indianapolis Colts

Remember that line about asking the Eagles? Enter Frank Reich. He’s seen first-hand what a change of scenery can do for a player and how low risk player moves — even ones with potentially high cost — can pay off.

And that’s what Sanders is.

We know what Emmanuel Sanders the player can be for a team. The likelihood he just falls off a cliff seems slim.

The risk isn’t the player, it’s the cost. But in this case, a de facto one-year deal shouldn’t scare the Colts who have a bazillion dollars to spend this offseason and beyond (all numbers approximate).

We can’t consider the Colts contenders until we see Andrew Luck actually throw a football (seems important), but adding more weapons to this offense that already features T.Y. Hilton could make the Colts exceedingly dangerous offensively.

If they can bolster the defense with their high picks and cap space, they can be right back to contending again.

They have the pieces to make this move work and the flexibility to eat the cost if it fails.
