60. . NFC. North. Minnesota Vikings. 4. player

One team to pay close attention to in the free agent quarterback market in 2018 would have to be the Minnesota Vikings. That’s because they have three high-profile starting-level quarterbacks hitting free agency and we’re not entirely sure that any of them can lead Minnesota to its first Super Bowl appearance since the Bud Grant era in Minneapolis.

Sure, the Vikings could bring back Sam Bradford, Teddy Bridgewater or Case Keenum, but we’ve already seen what they can do in Vikings uniform. Bradford is incredibly accurate, but is as frail as can be at the quarterback position. Add in that his former offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur is now the head coach of the New York Giants and this means Bradford is as good as gone in the Twin Cities.

As for Bridgewater, he’ll likely stick with the Vikings, but he may never return to the promising quarterback he was coming out of Louisville. With his gruesome knee injury, he may just be a poor man’s version of Matt Ryan the rest of his career. As for Keenum, well he’s the most intriguing of the three. See, he’s the guy that won all those games for Minnesota in 2017. However, could that be a product of Shurmur’s system? Regardless, Keenum is getting paid handsomely by somebody.

So how does Cousins factor in all of this? He’ll be the best of the bunch if he were to go to the Vikings. He has the arm talent to succeed in the cold NFC North, not to mention the numbers he could put up in Minnesota in John DeFilippo’s offense playing in a dome. While the Vikings have $53,379,388 in available cap space, they are more likely to bring back one of their own that get into the Cousins sweepstakes. It would be cool to see Cousins with the Vikings, but this would be a high-pressure situation for him on a team that might have already peaked.
