One of the bigger surprises of the 2017 NFL season was the play of the Los Angeles Rams, who came out of nowhere to win the NFC West. The Rams hired a very young head coach in Sean McVay before the season, and all the then-31-year-old did was go out and win Coach of the Year honors. He has this franchise pointed in the right direction, and suddenly quarterback Jared Goff looks all the part of a first overall draft choice.

When it comes to next season, the Rams need to build on their success from 2017, and try to keep their spot atop the division. Goff is certainly going to be a good one at quarterback, and Aaron Donald may be the best defensive lineman in all of football. This team does have some holes on the defensive side of the ball, and one of the bigger holes is in the secondary at the cornerback position.

While Joshua Jackson should be the first cornerback off the board in the first round, Denzel Ward might not be too far behind. Ward has been a shutdown cornerback during his time at Ohio State, helping the school put together quite a glutton of talent at the position. Former Buckeye Marshon Lattimore was a beast during his rookie season for the New Orleans Saints, and Ward just may be able to follow suit in 2018.
