Offensive Lineman. Ohio State. Billy Price. 24. player. 87.

The Carolina Panthers made it back to the playoffs this season, after a dismal display during the 2016 NFL season. The year before, Cam Newton led his Panthers all the way to the Super Bowl, where they were destroyed by the Denver Broncos. In 2017, the Panthers spent their first round pick on Christian McCaffrey, and proved to be one of the more dynamic young players in the NFL in year one.

Heading into the 2018 NFL season, it looks like it will be the last for center Ryan Kalil. The 12-year veteran has already said that it will be his last season, so the team may want to spend their first round draft pick on his eventual replacement. Billy Price has been a do-everything offensive lineman during his time at Ohio State, and would be a perfect person to take Kalil’s place when he rides off into the sunset.

Price not only was one of the better centers in college football, but he also is a standout guard. He has helped the Buckeyes be one of the better teams in college football during his time on campus, and he may be even better at the next level. Protecting Newton and clearing the way for McCaffrey is crucial if the Panthers want to remain a playoff team, and Price can help them achieve both of those things for years to come.
