4. player. 53. . Defensive Back. Alabama. Minkah Fitzpatrick

During the 2017 NFL Draft, the Houston Texans made a trade with the Cleveland Browns so they could select Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson. During his short stint before getting injured, Watson looked like an absolute star, which would make another signal-caller the Browns have passed on in recent drafts. Due to the trade, the Browns will be picking fourth overall as well in April, as the Texans were a mess without a true quarterback during the 2017 season.

With the first overall pick in 2018, the Browns are expected to take a quarterback, as it is a very heavy draft for that position. With pick No. 4, look for them to do something to bolster their defense, especially in the secondary. During the 2017 season, Cleveland traded away star cornerback Joe Haden to the Pittsburgh Steelers, so they may be looking to fill that void this early in round one.

Minkah Fitzpatrick from Alabama is the best cornerback in this draft class, as well as being the best overall defensive back. He has played safety and corner during his time with the Crimson Tide, helping the team to two national championships. He has the talent to be a shutdown cornerback from day one at the next level, and the Browns have already shown they have the players on that side of the ball to be a very good defensive in 2018.
