Round 4 – Pick 103

Sam Jones, OL, Arizona State

The Cleveland Browns seemingly have their interior of the line set with free agents from a year ago Kevin Zeiter and J.C. Tretter to pair with Joel Bitonio. However, Bitonio has only played one full season in his career. Grabbing a guard in the fourth round as insurance would be a wise plan. Of course the team would prefer a tackle that they can develop to eventually replace Joe Thomas but those players just simply were not there at this point.

What the team does get with Jones is a pass blocking guard who uses his excellent length for the position to keep guys off the quarterback. His frame could use some bulk in the lower half but he is plenty strong to get the job done.

Round 4 – Pick 125

Kylie Fitts, EDGE, Utah

Cleveland hit a home run with Myles Garrett to start off last year’s draft. Opposite Garrett Emmanuel Ogbah looks like a solid player. What Ogbah lacks is the explosiveness to get to the quarterback. Enter Kylie Fitts from Utah.

In the fourth round, a situational pass rusher could be a great addition to the young Browns defense. Ogbah just does not have the athleticism to be the pass rusher partner Garrett needs. Fitts is an athletic speed rusher who is best at attacking the quarterback. Some concerns about his length will push him down boards. At 6-foot-4 and 265 pounds, he has ability to add to his frame. However he has an advanced attack plan getting to the quarterback and can thrive in situational pass plays while developing in the NFL.
